After a brief summer break, App Friday is back and gearing up for a fantastic kick-off to the new school year with a launch center designed to showcase new and newly updated apps from family-friendly app developers. App Friday highlights educational apps each week on the App Friday website and Facebook page. In order to be included in App Friday, the app must be good quality, ad-free with no lite versions, and created by an independent app development company of less than five people.
App Friday originated as part of the MOMS With Apps developer community, a group of family-friendly app developers seeking to increase visibility of kids’ educational apps. It has since expanded to include handcrafted apps from indie developers from around the world. It is brought to us each week by volunteers George Karavias of Anlock Apps, Marcel Widarto of SoGaBee Labs, Garry Froehlich of JellyBean Tunes, and Lorraine Akemann of MOMS With Apps. App Friday relies on the support and cross-promotion of independent developers from all over the globe. Developers who are interested in having their apps featured on App Friday can apply on the App Friday website.
